Registered Psychologist

Jiha Madiha Humayun, M.PSY., C. PSYCH.

I am a Psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO). I am currently a candidate in a Doctor of Clinical Psychology program. I hold a Master of Psychology degree from Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Anthropology from University of Toronto.

I have been working in the clinical field for over 10 years and have extensive experience working with adults, helping them deal with issues such as: anxiety, depression, complex trauma, general adjustment issues, chronic pain, anger, grief, emotion regulation, and family/relationship concerns. In my current work, I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy, utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness based interventions, clinical hypnosis, psychodynamic theory, and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also experienced in completing diagnostic assessments with adults.

In my work, I ensure that every client receives treatment that is tailored to their needs. I work along a client-centered, culturally sensitive, and strength-based approach. My clients are provided with a non-judgemental and supportive therapeutic environment to work through their goals. I have had exposure to different cultures through life experiences. The earlier part of my life was spent in Asia and the Middle East.

I personally understand the process of acculturation and the challenges that can occur due to life transitions. I have a special interest in providing care for individuals of diverse backgrounds including immigrant populations. I value professional development and education and I strive to remain up to date with current and effective evidence-based treatments.

I am a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA). I offer my services in English, Urdu, and Hindi.
