Gwen Morgan is Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist who has worked in health and community settings for over twenty-five years. Solution-focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Self-Compassion and Mindfulness are the key modalities she draws upon to support her clients to manage depression and anxiety, reduce stress and foster greater balance and well-being in life. Gwen is also a Professional trainer and Certified teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies, Toronto and the UC San Diego Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute.
Originally Gwen’s work in a diabetes centre led her to doing the 7 day intensive training with Jon Kabat Zinn and she adapted MBSR to include mindful eating awareness training. She has also developed mindfulness programs for marginalized people, psychiatric outpatients and youth at- risk. Gwen passionately believes in her clients’ innate resources to grow with the challenges in their lives, to build resilience to meet difficult times with compassion.
