skye McLellan is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSSW). She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ryerson University. She has also obtained a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approved by the Association of Cognitive Therapy.
Skye has experience providing mindfulness, solution-focused, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). She has 20 years of experience in the mental health field in community and hospital settings. She is skilled in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, addictions, adjustment issues, and PTSD. Skye offers individual counselling for adults and older adolescents.
I have been working in the clinical field for over 10 years and have extensive experience working with adults, helping them deal with issues such as: anxiety, depression, complex trauma, general adjustment issues, chronic pain, anger, grief, emotion regulation, and family/relationship concerns.
In my current work, I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy, utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness based interventions, clinical hypnosis, psychodynamic theory, and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also experienced in completing diagnostic assessments with adults.
